This is the title page of my illustrated book project. The book explores various themes and features vivid illustrations to engage readers. Its goal is to captivate a wide audience, including both children and adults who appreciate detailed artwork and storytelling. The project has been meticulously designed to provide both visual appeal and meaningful content, making it a unique addition to the realms of literature and art.
Later, I edited the shop scene by incorporating various colours and lighting using Adobe Photoshop. I selected a vibrant colour palette that included cool shades of blue and green, contrasting with warm yellow tones to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Next, I created the first page of the book, depicting a young girl entering a shop with a storage cabinet filled with jars, one of which contains a small sandcastle behind the shopkeeper's counter.
I edited the illustration by adding a warm glow surrounding the jars on the shelves using Adobe Photoshop, along with adding details to the sandcastle, a hanging plant and fairy lights on the walls of the store.
Finally, I changed the young girl’s hair to blonde, adjusted her skin tone to pale, and made her eyes a cooler shade of blue from the original colour palette to enhance the realism of the story.
